THE STAFF


IHC staff includes experienced Professional, Junior, College, and Travel Hockey players and coaches who are knowledgeable and experienced in the IHC system.

                        

IHC Instructor Shom Datta

                                   

 Shom Datta has been with IHC Hockey for 13 years now.  First as a player, and then as an instructor.  A Native of Brantford, Ontario, Shom is presently Head Coach and Director of Hockey for the NJCAA North Country Community College Hockey Team in Saranac Lake, New York.   Coach Datta was the 2004-05 Coach of the Year and Second Team Coach of the Year in 05-06.  Prior to coaching at North Country, he served as an assistant coach and head JV coach at New England College (NCAA DIII) in Henniker , NH .  Coach Datta has also played professionally in Europe and played his college hockey at Hamline University (NCAA DIII) in St. Paul , MN , earning a B.A. in Business Management.   Shom has also worked at various hockey schools for the past twelve years in the US , Canada , Czech Republic , and Austria , and was the director of the IHC Hockey Schools in Europe.  

 

 

IHC Instructor Keith McAdams
                                                                                                            

Keith McAdams has coached on the Professional, College, and Junior Level in the USA and Europe. He coached IHC Director Bob Gergerich in minor league pro, and their relationship began in the late '80's.  He is presently Coach, Gm, and Director of Hockey Operations for the Jr. A Hudson Valley Eagles.  Keith brings with him 27 years of coaching and management experience to the Eagles organization. Over 100 players Keith has coached has gone on to play pro and college hockey. Keith has coached for the Long Island Royals for the past 7 years. He served as hockey director and organized the clinic/hockey school programs for Superior Ice Rink.

He has won championships in the AAHL, Italy, and Junior "A". His high school teams have won 4 Divisional Championships, 3 League Championships and the Nassau-Suffolk Championship. His Royals teams have won the Long Island Championships 3 times, Silver Sticks Regional Championship 2 times. His teams have won 12 tournaments.

What Keith is most proud of is all the players who have gone on to coach hockey and give back to the communities they live in. The Long Island Royals, which is one of the most successful programs on the East Coast had seven coaches that once had played for him. Others coaches have gone on to coach in Europe, Juniors and High School Hockey. He was one of the founders of the AFHL and which eventually merged with the NAHL. Keith has an extensive background in sports marketing and management with hockey, basketball and car racing. Past Administrative experience includes; President of the Suffolk County High School Ice Hockey League, Director of Bryan Trottier Hockey School and Programs and Director of USHI Hockey Programs. 

 

  

IHC instructor Jason Greenway.                 

Jason has been with the IHC for nineteen years   now, as a student, counselor, and an instructor  Jason is in his first season as the NCAA Buffalo State Assistant Coach.  Jason has played three years of pro hockey in the ECHL for Wheeling, the CHl, UHL, and the SPHL.  Jason played division 1 college hockey at Niagara Falls and Findlay. 

 

IHC Instructor Chris Darcy                   

Chris has been with IHC Hockey for fourteen years as a student, counselor, and instructor.  Chris played junior hockey in Cleveland, Ohio and ACHA hockey at Penn State.
