May 10, 2008:  IHC Hockey & Pittsburgh Hockey Prospects announce summer Weekly Conditioning Camp for ages 14 to 18

IHC Hockey and Pittsburgh Hockey Prospects have scheduled their summer Weekly Conditioning Camp for ages 14 to 18, who are AA or AAA calibre players.  The weekly camp will be held in June and July at the Iceoplex at Southpointem and Warrendale Bladerunners.  The camp will focus on high speed drills and instructions designed to break the players comfort zone.  For more information, click on Pittsburgh Hockey Prospects or email Bob Gergerich at bob@ihchockey.com.

 

April 1, 2008:  IHC Hockey forms Pittsburgh Hockey Prospects

IHC Hockey is proud to announce that they are changing the name of their spring and summer tournament teams from Team IHC to Pittsburgh Hockey Prospects. Pittsburgh Hockey Prospects should attract more of the top players in the western Pennsylvania area and will be more identifiable to what the program is trying to achieve, develop and give exposure to the area's top players.  PHP will also be conducting weekly conditioning skates in the summer, as well as AA/AAA hockey camps.  For more information, go to:        Pittsburgh Hockey Prospects.

 

March 9, 2008:  IHC Hockey Management announces camps

IHC Hockey will be holding their 20th annual Jr. Prospect Exposure Camp in Buffalo (Amherst) new York this year on May 16th to the 18th.   The camp is designed for players 15 to 19 years of age who wants to play junior and or college hockey.  IHC Hockey will also be holding their 20th annual Pro Free Agent Camp in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania for the first time ever this year.  The Free Agent Camp will held on August 1st and 2nd, and it is designed for players who are interested in playing pro hockey next season.

December 15, 2007:  Team IHC Skill/Evaluation Sessions in March

IHC Hockey's Team IHC Spring & Summer Tournament Teams has set additional  Skill/Evaluation sessions on March 8, 10, and 13, at the Mtl Lebanon Ice Center,  for 97, 96, 95, and 94 birth year teams and U16 and U18 teams.  Click on the Team IHC link on our hockey school page. 

 

November 25, 2007:  2008 Team IHC Skill/Evaluation Sessions set

IHC Hockey's Team IHC Spring & Summer Tournament Teams has set their first  Skill/Evaluation session on December 26th & December 27th for 97, 96, 95, and 94 birth year teams.  Sessions for U16 & U18 will be held in Jamuary.

 

November 9, 2007:  2008 IHC Hockey Schedule

IHC Hockey's 2008 schedule is now listed on the International Hockey College application of the website.  In 2008, we have added several locations such as Buffalo, New York, Toronto, Ontario, and Iceoplex at Southpointe, Pa.  IHC will have their 2008 Junior Prospect Exposure Camp at the Amherst Pepsi Center, in Amherst (Buffalo), New York in May.  IHC is still working on their Pro Free Agent Camp as it may be held in conjunction with the NHL Draft again in Ottawa, Ontario, or in Pittsburgh, Pa., in August.

 

October 30, 2007:  IHC partners with the Pittsburgh Amateur Penguins, North Pittsburgh Wildcats and the Beaver County Badgers

IHC Hockey has partnered with the North Pittsburgh Wildcats to operate their Hockey Development Program.  North Pittsburgh has the biggest developmental program in Western Pennsylvania.  Bob Gergerich and IHC Hockey will also be conducting Power Skating classes in November for the Wildcats, and the sessions are also open to the general public.  These sessions are designed for the more experinced player.  Bob Gergerich along with the Amateur Penguins will be conducting Power Skating & Skil sessions at the Harmarville Bladerunners on Wednesday and Thursday evenings.   For more information, contact Bob Gergerich at 412-835-3801.   Bob will also be conducting Power Skating & Skill sessions twice a month exclusively for the Beaver County Badgers.

 

October 3, 2007:  Recent player signings

Hans King(Seattle Washington) has signed with HYC in the Belgium Elite League.  Paul DeJoe (Youngstown, Ohio) has signed with Youngstown in the CHL.  Chris Herr (Harrisburg, Pa)signed with Wooster in the MAHL.  Carmen Posteraro Pittsburgh, Pa, Merrimack College) has been invited to the Wheeling Nailers Camp.  Brandon Hanley (Pittsburgh, Pa., Ohio University) is playing pro in Latvia.  Timothy Tabb ( Connecticut), Steve Cashin (Philadelphia), Nicholas Verch (Ohio), Andrew Rummel (NY), and Kenny McAdams (NY), are playing in Finland for the Varkus Eagles, which is coached by IHC staff member Keith McAdams.  Alex Richert (Pittsburgh) signed with Mon Valley in the MAHL.  Sean Murray(Massachusetts) signed with Colorado in the CHL.  Martin Kloucek (Czech Republic) signed with Jamestown in the MAHL.  Jake Roberts(Pittsburgh) is playing Jr. A for Peoria. Brian Dunford (Pittsburgh) is playing Jr. A in Boston.  Adam Easterbrook (Butler, Pa.) is playing juniors for Delaware Valley.  Ryan Dolence (Clinton, Pa.) and Kody Helbig (Freedom, Pa.) is playing juniors for Penn Enforcers.  Eric Rutz (Hershey, Pa.) is playing Jr. A in Canada.  Gary Marshall (Minnesota/Maryland) is playing Jr. B for Hudson Valley.

 

September, 2007:  IHC partners with Toronto's Skating Lab

IHC Hockey has partnered with Canada's Brock University's Skating Lab to conduct a Power Skating/Hockey Treadmill Camp in Toronto, Ontario.  The Skating Lab is owned by Kelly Lockwood who is the authority on skating treadmill training.   She has written the original skating treadmil training protocols for the world renowned Frappier Acceleration.  The Power Skating -Treadmill Camp will be held at the Chesswood Arenas in Toronto, where Kelly also operates a Skating Lab facility upstairs of the rink.
